1. Who can join

You can use Owan Dating if:

• you are 18 or older;
• you are not married: never married, divorced, separated or widowed;
• you are Owan by birth, through a parent or through marriage, or a friend of Owan who respects the community;
• you are allowed to use it under the laws where you live, and we haven't removed you before.

You can have one account. It's for you alone; don't share it or sign up for someone else.

2. Be real

• Use your real first name, your real age and recent photos of yourself.
• Your first photo must clearly show your face. Your live selfie must be you, taken there and then.
• Answer honestly, especially about your relationship status and whether you have children.
• Don't pretend to be someone else, and don't use photos of other people, celebrities or computer-made faces.

The verified tick means an email address was confirmed. It is not a background check. We don't run criminal or identity checks on members, so please take care.

3. How to treat people

Owan Dating is for finding love, commitment and marriage, with the respect our families would expect. You must not:

• ask anyone for money, gifts, airtime, bank details or help with a payment, or offer anything of the kind;
• harass, threaten, insult or keep messaging someone who isn't replying;
• send nude or sexual photos, or sexual messages nobody asked for;
• insult anyone for their clan, town, tribe, faith, health, disability or background;
• share someone else's photos, phone number, address or private messages without their permission;
• sell, advertise, recruit or promote anything;
• use the app for anything illegal, including fraud, trafficking or contact with anyone under 18;
• copy, scrape or misuse other members' information, or try to break or get around how the app works.

Until someone is interested in you too, or replies, you can send them up to three messages. This keeps "message anyone" kind.

4. Staying safe

• Get to know people in the app before you share your number or address.
• Meet in a busy public place, tell family or a friend where you are going, and get there and back yourself.
• Never send money to anyone you meet here, whatever the story.
• If anyone breaks these rules or makes you uncomfortable, tap Report on their profile. Reporting also blocks them, and they won't be told.

You are responsible for how you deal with other members, in the app and when you meet. We are not responsible for what members say or do, but we do act on reports.

5. What you share

Your photos, answers and messages stay yours. By adding them, you give us permission to store them and show them to other members as the app describes, only for running Owan Dating. This permission ends when you delete them or your account. Only share what you have the right to share.

We may remove anything that breaks these terms.

6. Removing accounts

We may hide, suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms, puts anyone at risk, or is fake, and we may stop that person joining again. If we can, we will tell you why.

You can leave at any time from You › Delete account in the app. It deletes your profile, photos and conversations straight away, and can't be undone. If you can't open the app, email privacy@owanly.com.

7. Price

Owan Dating is free. If we ever add paid features, we will show you the price clearly before you pay, and nothing you use today will be charged for without your agreement.

8. The app itself

The Owan Dating name, logo, design and app belong to Owanly. We work hard to keep it running and safe, but we provide it as it is, without promises that it will always be available, free of mistakes, or that you will find a partner. We can change or stop features at any time.

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, or for anything another member does. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law that can't be taken away.

9. Changes and the law

If we change these terms, we will update this page and its date, and tell you in the app if the change is important. If you keep using Owan Dating after that, you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria, and disputes will be handled by the courts of Edo State, Nigeria.
